    This is a really excellent piece of kit. As well as producing top quality sound from a variety of sources, it looks very stylish too. I purchased it to replace an older version of a panasonic 5. Be warned, the plug in speakers are a different plug type than previous systems. I was hoping to plug in the rear surround speakers i already had wired around the room, but this was not possible with the different connectors, so a little extra work involved. Takes 95 seconds to boot up from eco standby so remember to switch on a little early if needed.

The instructions provided are quite straight forward and can be followed by anyone without much knowledge on setting up previous sound systems.

Read the reviews seemed good value it’s ok for the money already had to replace plug and it keeps switching off had bose before so much better but more money might send back but for what you get its good value maybe something i’m doing wrong.

        I bought this beauty not from amazon, but from a competitor (not sure if i’m allowed to mention it) for a bargain price of £149. Picked it up from store, with a big smile on my face. So, my setup is slightly different – i wanted to create a basic home cinema setup, with no tv involved – i use an optomaprojector instead (see separate review for that) and so, i have the projector and the sound system only, both linked togethervia a hdmi cable. It doesn’t get easier than that. Setting up the unit takes about 5 mins – longer for meas i do not have a tv with a hdmi connection, so i had to go next door, connect the surround sound to their modern tv, andthen return home and hook this baby to my projector. All very easy to carry, as the unit is light and the speakers tiny (about 4 inches). Once setup, the main menu is very clear with large icons and a simple remote giving the user various options – play dvd, use iplayer, netflix, youtube etc etc.

It is fairly straight forward to assemble with plenty of speaker wire to place around my lounge area at a fair distance away from the unit. The speakers are small but produce amazing crystal clear sound quality (plenty of bass) on all functions e. At 600w i wouldn’t want it any more powerful as i live in a block of flat. The device is very easy to set up and connect to the internet, through a ethernet wire. The internet apps are great and easy to access, with netflix at the touch of a button that all play through the five speakers, hopefully they will be kept up to date. Dvds are up scaled to near high definition which look great on a bigger tv and i could tell the difference straight away from my old dvd player there is no docking station on the device but you can stream music via bluetooth and nfc which is at the touch of a button on the remote. Make sure you purchase a high speed audio return hdmi cable to be able to enjoy the sound from the tv. There is a aux input but no video inputs to the device bar a usb slot at the front of the unit where you can listen to music, watch videos and view photos. The only problem i had that this does not have wireless internet built in to the device, you would need to purchase a panasonic wireless adapter to access the internet through the usb.
