    Just as good if not better than the 5. 1 it replaced. Excellent functionality, easy & successful setup via an hdmi lead & panasonic’s viera control with a panasonic tv. If you’re solely using an hdmi lead, enabling high clarity sound is worthwhile, which has to be enabled first then turned on in a different menu, as is adjusting the subwoofer db as per below. To the reviewer above to reduce the sub woofer level further than the 1-4 settings allow, press & hold the left bottom setup button, when the display changes, let go of the button and press it until the display reads sw, then cursor left and right to adjust the db of the subwoofer from -6db to +6db.       Good purchase, overall very pleased. . Can be a bit bassey, even on mellow settings, links well with tv , although connection a bit slow. A very good music player, with lots of oomph. Good value, yes a good alround buy.

I was also keen to get one that would allow connection of an ipod in order to do away with hi-fi equipment etc. I liked the design of this, as it’s more like using a mini system than a dvd player. The remote is ok if a bit plasticky, but allows some control of the tv too. The ipod dock works well and will show track info on the tv screen, thougn it is a bit slow scrolling through. It’s all done with the remote control though, so very easy. It just fits okay in our tv stand, which is handy and looks good. The electrically sliding doors are a nice touch too. The real surprise though was the sound.
