Smart Guidance in Buying Panasonic SC-HTE50EB-K 2

This is a brilliant system for flat display screen tvs. I was toying with a soundbar but for the reason that of room i made a decision to go with the panasonic 2. Effectively it didn’t disappoint,it was quick to established up. In particular with the panasonic viera connect system. The audio is excellent as you can control it from the distant. I am happy i selected this item.

Not the most effective for general viewing. Boomy bass can be frustrating and not plenty of middle so not great for basic viewing. So does not definitely satisfy our needs.

  • Auto Gain Control
  • Jitter-free Digital Amplifier
  • 1x HDMI in
  • 2x Optical in

Sounds wonderful, big improvement. Acquired generally for the unique sort aspect than standard soundbars. I essential a thing that would not dwarf my 32′ sony bravia and would suit on my tv stand with no hanging around the sides. This performs terrific as i can conceal the subwoofer driving the tv set and place the speakers down below at possibly side of the sky hd box. I managed to established this up in all over fifteen minutes and all worked fantastic aside from just one factor. When i hooked up my sony bluray participant via hdmi the dolby electronic indicator lit up. When i then switched to the sky high definition box related with an optical lead it would hardly ever show as coming through as dd even when the epg confirmed it was broadcasting in dd. After some fruitless exchanges with panasonic assist i went again to the guide. Turns out that you want to connect sky via the aux optical enter fairly than the television set optical enter. I now get dd from both equally the bluray participant and sky. Only downside is that i now require to change the input manually by means of the subwoofer controls or the distant. If i you should not change the enter i nevertheless listen to the audio from the speakers but it is really not dd. Guess it have to route via arc by way of the hdmi?overall i am seriously pleased with how it seems and looks. Substantial advancement above the tv speakers.

Extremely superior good quality merchandise, very happy.

All the things functions as said on tin, but even at the most affordable bass amount the system is very bassy and you will have to have extremely comprehending neighbours or are living in a detached home.

Sounds great, big improvement. Bought mainly for the different form factor than normal soundbars. I needed something that wouldn’t dwarf my 32″ sony bravia and would fit on my tv stand without hanging over the sides. This works great as i can hide the subwoofer behind the tv and put the speakers below at either side of the sky hd box. I managed to set this up in around 15 minutes and all worked fine apart from one thing. When i hooked up my sony bluray player via hdmi the dolby digital indicator lit up. When i then switched to the sky hd box connected with an optical lead it would never show as coming through as dd even when the epg showed it was broadcasting in dd. After some fruitless exchanges with panasonic support i went back to the manual. Turns out that you need to connect sky via the aux optical input rather than the tv optical input. I now get dd from both the bluray player and sky. Only downside is that i now need to switch the input manually via the subwoofer controls or the remote. If i don’t switch the input i still hear the sound from the speakers but it’s not dd. Guess it must route via arc through the hdmi?overall i am really pleased with how it sounds and looks. Massive improvement over the tv speakers.

Not the best for general viewing. Boomy bass can be annoying and not enough middle so not ideal for general viewing. So doesn’t really fulfill our requirements.

This is a brilliant system for flat screen tvs. I was toying with a soundbar but because of space i decided to go with the panasonic 2. Well it didn’t disappoint,it was easy to set up. Especially with the panasonic viera connect system. The sound is brilliant as you can regulate it from the remote. I am glad i chose this product.

Had this for about a week now. Aesthetically very nice – shiny black finish looks good. Also the size of the satellite speakers means they easily sit either side of the sky box on a shelf in my tv unit. Initially slightly dissapointed by the sound – seemed to be a constant rumble going on, but have since found this was limited to one dvd which was filmed a few years ago (west wing season 1). Lots of use over the weekend across a variety of programmes/movies in sd and hd and no issues of this nature at all. So, good news is that this is a reasonably economic way to enhance the sound on your flat screen tv – and it definitely is an enhancement. However, you do get what you pay for when it comes to audio visual equipment imo. For example, it isn’t what you’d call high fidelity (slightly lacking in the mid range i’d say), and actually, it’s not quite as good as my 4 year old onkyo htx-22 (an adiitonal £60 vs the panny though) which i have on my other telly. Still, overall this does the job i want so happy to give it 4 stars.
