Product will work specifically as advertises and has productively connected three electronic inputs to a single enter on my amp. There will not appear to be any decline on audio good quality from any of my units and the remote is basic and we will created. Greatest of all, the ir sensor can be placed separately and will allow the precise switch box to be concealed out of sight.

Does not arrive equipped with a british isles plug. Does not come equipped with a uk plug. Value you can use an adapter but its just additional expenditure and inconvenience.

ViewHD SPDIF Audio Optical TOSLINK to Coaxial Bi-directional Converter Splitter (VHD-2WDA) : I bought this to replace an old mechanical switch that was starting to give up the ghost. It works perfectly, and the ir remote control means no more scrabbling around the side of the tv, especially since it has a little plug-in receiver that lets you put the switch itself completely out of sight. It’s small, there’s no signal loss, it’s much cheaper than the most common alternative out there, and it only took a little over a week to arrive from the us. It even comes with a uk power supply.

      Great compact optical audio switcher. Without a dedicated av receiver, my blu-ray surround system has to do double duty for managing audio inputs from my sky hd box, htpc and tv (for audio from chromecast attached to tv hdmi)i have 2 spdif (optical) inputs on my blu ray system but three audio inputs from my tv, htpc and sky box. Previously i would have to plug/unplug one of the spdif inputs to change audio inputs. If you haven’t done this often, aligning optical spdif cables and plugging them in to the rear of a device is a real painthe audio switcher is a diminutive box which now hides behind the bd player. I have installed the included ir receiver to switch using the remote included in the package. Its been 3 months and the device is working great with no issues at all. Do note that it needs a separate power source to work.

    No need to use the ir sensor and remote so long as you don’t mind getting up to press the button to change the input. It’s a shame it doesn’t auto-switch, but you can’t have everything.

    Better than a left ventricle. This linky has increased my corpulence enormously by removing the need to occasionally arise from my flop to switch sound sources for my old school system. I’m eating cheeseb’s to maximise the opportunity.

    Now i can use my analogue audio amplifier and stereo speakers to provide excellent sound from the digital audio output of my tv. For me a much better solution than the expense or clutter of digital sound bars.

      Used 10m from cupboard under the stairs up. Used 10m from cupboard under the stairs up behind coving down the wall and back to the tv along with other very reasonably priced 10m cables of various types all from amazon. After being advised by the guy from richer sounds that i need £60 hdmi cables etc. Don’t waste your money on so called expensive cables especially if you need quite a few of them. Everything is suitably shielded and working perfectly.     1 headset in my entertainment station where i have to connect my ps4, xbox one and my receiver through optical, this product just solve it by connecting all my devices into it then to my headset station astro a50.

    A fantastic product that saves swapping cables into your surround sound input. I have my sky, ps4 and ps3 into the three inputs. I wish i’d bought one earlier. Loads better than a manual and they all work.

    Works as described – except that it appears limited to. Works as described – except that it appears limited to 48khz. Anyone who needs to interface at higher frequencies (eg adat at 96khz) should look elsewhere.
